Convention Wrap Up

First of all, thank you to everyone who stopped by the booth! It was an amazing experience to meet all of you. Without you, Odd Quartet would not be what it is today. I feel like the best part about any convention is getting to talk to you, the readers. Check out some of the pictures from the exhibit hall and the full run down of the show below. Thanks!

What an amazing week! It started by road tripping it down to San Antonio to set up for the convention and it ended with me almost getting stuck there because my car battery died.

One of the highlights of the convention was getting to meet Brent Becker – he is the artist/designer behind Stanbury uniforms. We got a chance to talk shop before the exhibit hall opened one morning. It was interesting to hear about his design process and how he made the transition from traditional media (paper/ink) to digital. If you get a chance, check out his gallery on Deviant Art.

The exhibit hall was an eclectic mix of music publishers, instrument makers, fundraisers, and others. My booth was right next to a candied peanut fundraiser company (I ended up going home with two bags).

Thanks again to everyone who came out to the show, I hope to see you again next year! A big thank you to my friends Scot and Jeremy. Without those guys, the booth would still be sitting in a garage somewhere and I would still be stuck in San Antonio.  Our sharp-eyed readers might notice some items at the booth that are not in the store yet. No worries, all of the new designs will be available online soon!
